Frequently Asked Questions

Here you will find an overview of frequently asked questions with answers.

Opening hours in the park vary with the season. Updated opening hours will you find here.

Children under the age of 6 must bring an adult in green trails. Children under 12 must bring an adult in blue, red and black trails. We recommend 1 adult per 4 children. Unfortunately, we cannot give children without the responsible adult access to the “high slopes” in the park.

Everyone who uses the climbing park must complete a mandatory safety course with instructor. The course must be completed at least once per season. Unfortunately, on days of high demand, some waiting time must be expected in the safety training. Follow the instructor’s messages carefully to reduce the waiting time.

Unfortunately, the park does not have unlimited capacity. We have a maximum number of harnesses that we distribute, when this number is reached, it will not come in more until someone returns the harness so that it does not become too crowded in the park.

We have our own free parking for Høyt & Lavt Valsøya. It is located in close proximity to the park. Follow the signs for parking when you reach Valsøya.

Drop-in is when you arrive at the park without pre-booking. Unlike those who have pre-booked tickets, no room is guaranteed. On days of regular opening hours, non-pre-sold tickets are put up for sale in our store.

We accept most debit cards as well as cash. Groups can receive an invoice for their visit (must be arranged in advance).

We have a kiosk, where we sell different coffees, soft drinks, ice cream, baguettes, cakes and more. Dinner is not sold in our kiosk, but can be bought in the restaurant at Valsøya Fjordcamping which is also on site.

No. Those who do not want to participate in activities / climbing in the park do not have to buy a day pass or reserve a seat. We have a great hiking area and established trail network where you can experience the park from ground level.

Yes, it is possible. (Due to fire danger, charcoal, disposable grills are not allowed).

Dogs are allowed in the park. Bring a bag (for the poop) and always keep the dog on a leash.

The park has the opportunity to accommodate and organize activities for guests with disabilities and other special needs. This must be agreed in advance. For questions and contact valsoya@hoytlavt.no eller tlf 923 00 633.

The park is open even with bad weather in the season. In the event of a thunderstorm and / or heavy wind, all or part of the park may have to be closed to the weather. Unforeseen downtime does not entail the right to reimbursement of ticket money.

All relevant information about the park, location etc. can be found on our website. Should you still need to contact us – send an email to valsoya@hoytlavt.no and we will reply to you within 2 days. We can also be reached on phone 923 00 633 (here there can be a big increase in season).
